Culture and the structural funds in Bulgaria


In the framework of the design and negotiation of the EU’s Cohesion Policy and the Operational Programmes for the funding period 2014-20, the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Education and Culture asked the European Expert Network on Culture (EENC) to prepare papers to analyse how the cultural and creative sectors could foster local and regional development in several EU Member States.

Matera is organizing a festival with the participation of Sofia


Matera city, Italy, is one of the candidates for the title European Capital of Culture in 2019. Regarding the nomination, the city is organizing the international festival - Materadio, in partnership with Rai Radio 3. The festival will be between 21rd and 23th of September. Participating are artists from Italy and other European countries, as well as journalists from electronic media, who will have the chance to organize live broadcasting from the hot spot.

Cultural Center of University of Sofia

Future Shorts is inviting you to Spring Shorts


On 29 March, 21:00 h, *Mixtape* 5 club – the largest net for short movies, animation and DVD label - Future Shorts will present its spring movie collection.
The special music and movie night includes the movie selection “Spring Shorts’, concert of the famous Milenita and band, as well as the master of the groovy sound Dosiu Amudzhev from Groovy Sessions.
The Phormatik VJs will dress up the event in colors and light with the specially prepared for the event vision.

Conference in Sofia for European Capital of Cultures


On May 27, 2011 at the Sheraton Hotel in Sofia was held the conference on European capitals of culture. It was organized jointly by Sofia Municipality, Sofia Development Association, the partner initiative " Soul for Europe" and the Foundation for Urban Projects and Research.
