SOCHI 2014'S CULTURAL PROGRAM IS COMING TO DOMA ART FEST

A special program from the Cultural Olympiad in Sochi 2014 is coming to DOMA Art Festival: The Heartbeat of New Russia. The guest artist from Russia – Roman Ermakov who is leading the project “Peace Class” in Sochi takes his program to Sofia for the Children's Weekend, dedicated to the youngest fans of art during the Children's Day. Roman is going to teach the little ones how to make paper masks and costumes during the Children's Weekend of May 31 and June 1 at the Russian Cultural and Information Centre. The weekend offers children also:

- full-time activities of Russian dolls painting, board games, songs and dances;

- a special workshop for making cartoons headed by Radost Neykova;

- screening of plasticine cartoons directed by Sergey Merinov brought especially for the festival;

- screening of the cartoon “Hedgehog in the Fog”, one of the best cartoons of all time.

The Animation workshop led by Radost Neykova will teach children in just 3 hours how to create their own animated movie, which they will be able to take home with them afterward together with a certificate of achievement from Radost Neykova and DOMA Art Festival. The available number of places is limited so please register your child to info@domaartfest.com by indicating their name and age, and sending a photo of their drawings. The selected children will be announced on May 31 in the news section of DOMA 2014 website www.domaartfest.com

All events are with free admission, and Harmonica has provided a special bio lunch for all the children. 

DOMA Art Festival 2014 is organized in partnership with Forum Bulgaria-Russia and with the support of Sofia Municipality – an event in favor of the candidature of Sofia and the SWR for European Capital of Culture, the Russian Cultural and Information Centre, Overgas Inc., Bulgarsko Shkolo, Park Hotel Moskva, VIVACOM, Russky Standart, Kia Motors Bulgaria and Europcar, and with the media support of BNT and BNR.

The festival will be held in the spaces of VIVACOM Art Hall, the Russian Cultural and Information Centre, Underground Gallery - Maria Luisa 16, the Jewish House of Culture, Park Hotel Moskva, UnderGara and various outdoor locations.
