Sofia speaks in your ears. Speak back!
06.12 - 09.12.2013

Three city landmarks "start to speak." The Central Sofia Market Hall, the Zaimov Park and The Military Academy park are part of an exciting project called "Sofia in your ears." In its frames, from 6th to 9th December, while walking these locations, the public will be able to hear familiar and not so familiar stories related to them.

These audio walks will have three starting points: Cinema House (for The Central Sofia Market Hall), Gallery "Vaska Emanouilova" (the Zaimov Park) and bar "Kanaal" (for the Military Academy Park). There mp3 players and headphones will be distributed to those who wish in exchange for a pledge of choice.

On each route a different personal story will sound in Bulgarian or English. Their author is the journalist Katya Atanassova and it will be her voice telling her memories and associations connected to the places people go through. For the project special music was created. It is the work of Rosen Zahariev - Roko - trumpets, Todor Stoyanov - keyboards and Alexander Daniel - Sandy - drums (FlyWe2TheMoon). A surprising voice will guide walkers and will provoke them to certain actions.

For four days, Sofia will "speak" in the ears of people, but they can talk back as well since they can choose to share and record their own stories and reactions on the spot for the three locations of the "Sofia in your ears." Records will be added to the existing ones right away thereby audio walks will become more diverse.
