Implementing the initiative of Sofia Municipality and in partnership with Sofia Design Week, Sofia Development Association is organizing an international contest for the creation of an original project for logosystem for the candidature of Sofia for European Capital of Culture 2019.

First stage of the contest – pre-selection by an international jury
The International Jury consists of seven persons: 
Ruedi Baur – graphic designer, chairman of the jury 
Yordanka Fandakova – Mayor of Sofia
Lana Cavar – graphic designer, 
Christine Breton – curator, cultural heritage, 
Alexander Kiossev – Director, Cultural Center of the Univercity of Sofia, 
Andrean Nechev – graphic designer, Sofia Design Week, 
Kiril Valtchev – journalist, Darik Radio

1. The jury anonymously selected 14 projects that participated in the exhibition in an urban environment during the festival SOFIA DESIGN WEEK

2. Of these 14 projects, the international jury selected the final four projects that were subject to public voting via the Internet.

The citizens voted for Four projects on the Internet

With 1178 votes the logosystem of Boris Bonev was selected.
